Lord, I praise You for the wondrous care with which You made me—a woman crafted by Your loving hand. As Psalm 139:14 proclaims: “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
How precious are Your thoughts toward me, O God, and how vast their sum!
From childhood, with golden ribbons and treasured dolls, I cherished the beauty of womanhood.
Inspired by Brontë’s characters, I learnt how to read and be a story teller through the courage and passion above tales, forming reading habits in stories and play.
Later, porcelain teacups at play time wove a tapestry of joy.
Now, I savor hours with my mother, friends, and aunties—gathered round the table, sharing laughter and heartfelt counsel, as Proverbs 27:9 reminds: “ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so doth the sweetness of a friend by hearty counsel.”
University days brought comfort in warm cups of tea and classic British comedies—Frank Spencer’s slapstick glee—joys that brightened my evenings.
Unforgettable was the London afternoon, teacups in hand, watching Dame Judi Dench bring Shakespeare to life—a masterclass in artistry and grace.
So, on this Mother’s day, we celebrate being women, wearing our crowns of dignity, as Proverbs 31:25 declares: “Strength and honor are her clothing; she shall rejoice in time to come.”
Embrace your unique design and stand tall in your femininity, for the Creator of Heaven delights in you.
